Hello everyone, my name is Sarah Wess and I am the founder of Sarah's Treasures Rescue. There seems to have been some confusion about how our rescue operates. Our rescue is 100% VOLUNTEER AND FOSTER HOME BASED, meaning that we do not have a shelter where dogs are veiwable at set hours like many places. As the founder of the rescue, I am very active in the rescue -- I even foster dogs in my own private home that I am renting. I have received special permission from the landlord in order to foster the rescue dogs that I have and with that permission comes rules that must be followed or I cannot have rescue dogs in my own home. The main concern of my landlord is people cannot be wandering the property without permission looking for rescue dogs as I do have neighbors. I have had an increasing number of people just stopping by my own personal home and my landlord is very concerned as some of these people have come when I am not home and then they wander around the property. I have my own schedule outside of the fostering I do. I am also very concerned about the safety of the dogs that I am currently fostering -- I often ask myself, what if someone lets the dogs out of their fenced in enclosure, or unhooks them from their safe tie out? The dogs are never left alone for long periods of time as my schedule is very flexible and I am able to check on them many, many times throughout the day, but if someone were to let lose a dog, he/she could become lost, injured, or worse! If people continue to show up unannounced, I will no longer be able to have foster dogs in my private home. All I am is asking for is the common courtesy and respect it takes to make a simple phone call to set up a time that will work for you to see the dogs that I am currently fostering. Also, please remember many of the dogs are in private foster family homes as well. Please double check to see which dogs I am fostering. Thank you all in advance for understanding.
Sincerely,
Sarah Wess

We do NOT own a facility where animals are veiwable at all times. Many of the rescued pets are in foster homes with people who have decided to help make a difference. With our rescue being set up with foster homes and volunteers, appointments are necessary to meet any pet.
The house of the founder IS NOT our rescue site and is the founder's own private home. Please understand that the founder, volunteers, and foster homes all have their own schedules including jobs outside of the rescue. Please call ahead to set up a time to meet the pet you are interested in to ensure that it can be arranged with the foster family.
Times are very flexible! From morning to late evening, we can usually arrange a time that works best for YOU.
Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to take time to check out all our pages. If you have questions, concerns, suggestions, or anything! Please feel free to contact us!

Approximately 6 year old female purebred Coonhound. Very pretty with gorgeous markings. Family needs to find a home for her since she has started killing the sheep. She is very good with other dogs. She is also great with kids. Very loving and smart. Has some hunting training but would need a refresher course.
CAT needing new home -- was abandoned in the country -- is litter box trained -- grey and white in color and approximately 6 months old and male -- family would love to see him get an indoor home -- he does use a litterbox like a pro!
IF INTERESTED, please either fill out the application online or email us directly.

Cane Corso Mastiff, a 2 year old male, is looking for a new home. After a move to the ranch this summer, he can’t resist chasing cows. Todaro is well-behaved around people he knows. He loves attention and is an overgrown lap dog at nearly 150 pounds. Like all big dogs, he needs lots of exercise and space. He has lived with a neutered
He is a purebred (Coliseum and McLaren genetics) fawn-colored mastiff though he does not have papers. He's good-looking (see attached pictures) and is very athletic. He is trained to a leash and will crate. He was recently neutered (October).
To insure a good home, an interview and reference check will be performed. A donation is required to the rescue organization.
Here's the wikipedia information sheet on the breed.

News
Sarah's Treasures Rescue is currently a not-for-profit rescue. We are currently in the process of applying for our 501c3. We have sent in the first part of our 501c3 papers and our incorporation papers. We are waiting for the next step through our lawyers.
We are looking for people who wish to foster a pet in their own home. Being a foster home is not always easy, but it can be very rewarding. By taking a pet into your home, caring for him/her, loving him/her, and then letting him/her go to a new home can be difficult but the rewards are great and lets you feel how much you can impact the life of a pet in need.
Our rescue is always in need of foster homes. If you would like to try fostering, please fill out the application HERE or email us any questions or concerns you have. We will be glad to answer any and all of your questions. Thank you for considering to help out a rescued pet.

September Adoption Fair News
The adoption fair held on the 19th of September went well. We had lots of people through and many people inquired about what our rescue does, how we do things, and why we do what we do. We also had several inquiries on fostering and how people can help us. We also did have one adoption at the fair -- Bobby, the Min Pin. We had several adoptions prior to the fair on Saturday. We hope that as the week continues we will have more inquiries on those that were considering adopting but wanted to discuss it more with their families first.
August Adoption Fair News
The adoption fair held on the 15th of August had a great turnout despite the rain early in the day. We had 2 successful adoptions that day and had several adoptions later during the week from people who had inquired about pets at the fair.
July Adoption Fair News
The adoption fair that was held on the 18th of July went well. We had quite a few people through and lots looking for that perfect pet! We also had a few adoptions as well. Santana--a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier cross, Tucker-- a Lab/Coonhound puppy, and Monica -- a Ragdoll/Himalayan mix kitten all went to new homes. We appreciate everyone who came through our adoption fair and found out more information or was just there to look to see if we had that perfect pet.
